Art & Design Amsterdam, Netherlands
The Van Gogh Museum boasts the largest collection of paintings by celebrated Dutch artist, Vincent Van Gogh in the world, where you can admire Sunflowers, The Sower (after Millet), The Potato Eaters and The Yellow House, along with famous self-portraits of the artist. The Netherlands had to wait until 1962, more than 70 years after the painter’s death, to be able to present these reunited works of art. The collection of 200 paintings, 400 drawings and 800 handwritten letters was built up over the years, making the Van Gogh Museum the largest in the world dedicated to the work of this post-Impressionist artist. It also showcases the works of other famous painters, including Gauguin, Seurat, Monet, Toulouse-Lautrec and Picasso.
