Snorkeling, accessible directly from our shores, allows you to admire a myriad of colorful tropical fish. Our diving center offers water sports equipment to savor the delights of the lagoon. Also explore the underwater treasures with the "Seascooter" aquatic scooter, or indulge in a guided dive with our PADI 5-star certified dive center.
Beyond the lagoon, set out to conquer the trails on hikes that will lead you to spectacular viewpoints, or opt for a 4x4 safari through valleys and plateaus, where the island's iconic fruit, pineapple, thrives.
Finally, take in the breathtaking view of the island from the belvedere.
Snorkeling
With its crystal-clear waters and exceptional biodiversity, Moorea is the ideal place for snorkeling. Its turquoise lagoon shelters preserved coral gardens, where tropical fish, sea turtles, majestic rays and blacktip sharks roam.
Located in the heart of a protected marine zone, our hotel’s lagoon allows you to admire a sanctuary of tropical fish on Moorea’s most beautiful white sand beach. To fully enjoy the wonders of the sea, our “Diving Center” offers several activities, such as SEASCOOTER™, as well as kayaking, paddleboarding and pedalboat rentals.
Diving – Explore the seabed with Ia Ora Diving
The "Ia Ora Diving" center, the only PADI 5-star dive center in French Polynesia, offers you exceptional diving experiences, with guided day and night excursions to the island's most pristine spots.
Suitable for all levels, these experiences also allow for training and introductory diving sessions.
Coral Garden
The Sofitel Kia Ora Moorea Beach Resort is actively committed to preserving marine ecosystems through its Coral Garden. During this activity, a marine biologist in charge of coral rehabilitation will present the work carried out as part of the coral restoration program. You will learn grafting techniques and can participate in coral conservation, as well as sponsor one to follow its evolution.
