Candle Ritual
In the 1860s, Paris was the first city to illuminate its streets after dark with over 56,000 gas lamps. The French capital became known as “The City of Light”, the symbol of safety, warmth and humanity, but also a reference to the role of French philosophers during the Enlightenment.
This tradition inspired Sofitel to create the Candle Ritual, an essential marker of the Sofitel brand experience symbolising Sofitel’s brand pillars and in particular, the French zest, the heartfelt service culture and the Cultural Link. The warm glow of candles creates a welcoming and magical atmosphere marking the passage from day to night every day at dusk. As part of the Resort’s sustainability efforts, LED candle lights are used.
From 7pm daily, we invite you to immerse in the warm and magical atmosphere of the candle glow. We wish you a pleasant evening — Bonsoir!
Sentosa Beaches
Go on a family beach day at Tanjong Beach, which is directly accessible via a boardwalk* of 132 steps from Sofitel Pool. Continue with a relaxing stroll to Palawan Beach thereafter and spend the day in tranquillity amid a gentle breeze. Explore further by crossing the rope bridge to the islet that is the “Southernmost Point of Continental Asia” and take a family photo as a memento.

Sofitel Pool
Find serendipity and calm in our 33-metre black pearlescent tiled pool. A hidden gem right in the heart of the hotel, enveloped by lush greenery and large palm trees swaying in the breeze. Luxuriate in our poolside lounger or cabanas with endless fun for the whole family.

Self-guided meditation
Start your day with self-guided meditation at your own pace, surrounded by the gentle morning breeze. Collect a yoga mat from The Stage by the poolside and take a moment to reset. Feeling adventurous? Head down to Tanjong Beach for a peaceful meditation session by the shore.
Run concierge at your service
Guests who wish to explore Sentosa on foot can join our run concierge for a complimentary walk or run every Friday at 7am.
Please register at the concierge on Thursdays by 5pm.
Complimentary Adult Bicycle Usage
Guests can choose to cycle around Sentosa Island from 7am to 7pm, subject to bicycle availability. Use of adult bicycles is complimentary and limited to two hours per day. Should you wish to rent a bicycle, our concierge will be delighted to assist you.

Located within Raffles Sentosa Spa, the Fitness Centre offers a tranquil setting to maintain your workout routine. Equipped with a range of cardio and strength-training equipment, it’s the perfect space to recharge both body and mind. For complimentary transfers, please enquire at the concierge.
