  • Sustainable cuisine

    Our cuisine reflects a refined balance of creativity, sustainability, and a deep respect for terroir. Guided by French culinary traditions and inspired by the richness of Quebec’s local produces, our chefs craft seasonal menus that celebrate the finest regional ingredients.

     

    From thoughtfully sourced produce to ethically raised meats and sustainable seafood, every dish is a tribute to both flavor and responsibility. With a focus on freshness, elegance, and innovation, our dining experience invites guests to savour the harmony between gastronomy and sustainability.

     

    Food waste is a priority, and the hotel has implemented several solutions to minimize it. Four units, powered by artificial intelligence, have been installed to monitor and reduce food waste by digitally measuring its quantity and weight. This initiative has led to a 30% reduction in food waste.

  • Water Management

    Responsible water management is a key pillar of our sustainability practices. We have implemented high-efficiency fixtures throughout the property to reduce water consumption without compromising guest comfort. Our linen and towel reuse program encourages mindful usage, significantly lowering water and energy demand in daily operations.

     

    Behind the scenes, our teams follow strict protocols to ensure optimal efficiency and leak prevention. Through these initiatives, we aim to preserve this vital resource while maintaining the highest standards of service and elegance.

  • BEYOND SINGLE-USE

    Since 2022, Sofitel Montreal Golden Mile has been the first Accor hotel in Quebec to eliminate all single-use plastics from the operations, replacing them with paper alternatives certified by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC).

     

    We have replaced plastic water bottles with filtered water stations and glass carafes, introduced refillable bathroom Balmain amenities, and eliminated plastic straws and stirrers across all dining outlets. Back-of-house operations have also been redesigned to minimize plastic use, favouring reusable or compostable alternatives whenever possible. These efforts reflect our dedication to creating a more sustainable, plastic-free future—one thoughtful choice at a time.

  • Energy

    Energy-efficient lighting with presence detectors has been installed throughout the hotel, reducing electrical consumption by 15%. Additionally, a heat recovery unit has been introduced to optimize heating, redistributing warmth throughout the hotel during the winter months.
