    Our culinary philosophy celebrates the best of the region, with over 80% of ingredients sourced organically and the majority coming from trusted domestic producers. From the kitchen to the table, every detail reflects our commitment to sustainability, without compromising on flavour or elegance.

    Menus are thoughtfully curated with the seasons in mind, offering vibrant plant-based options alongside classic French-inspired dishes – all prepared with care and respect for the environment.

    We also take action behind the scenes: our kitchen is equipped with an AI-powered food waste tracking system that photographs and analyses leftovers, enabling us to optimise preparation and reduce waste – one meal at a time.

    Our guest rooms are thoughtfully equipped to offer both refined elegance and environmental responsibility. From the absence of single-use plastics to the use of certified eco-label products, every element has been chosen with care.
    Our Diptyque amenities, a signature of Parisian sophistication, are presented in refillable dispensers — combining everyday indulgence with a conscious approach to our planet.

  • REDUCING OUR FOOTPRINT, ENHANCING OUR IMPACT

    Sustainability runs through the entire building – from lighting to water, from cleaning to energy efficiency. Over 85% of all lighting throughout the hotel is powered by energy-efficient LED technology, reducing electricity consumption without dimming the guest experience. In our guestrooms, showers and sinks are equipped with water-saving filters that conserve resources while maintaining the highest standards of comfort. All cleaning products used across the property are ECOLABEL certified and fully biodegradable, ensuring that our commitment to cleanliness is matched by a dedication to environmental responsibility. Our approach combines innovation and practicality to ensure that every stay contributes to a cleaner, more conscious tomorrow – without ever compromising comfort or style.

  • LESS WASTE, MORE AWARENESS

    Sustainability shapes every aspect of our culinary philosophy. Since August 2023, food waste per guest has been reduced by 36%, saving more than 7 tons of food and cutting 17.5 tons of CO₂ emissions.

    With the support of the AI-powered Orbsik system, our kitchens can track and analyse leftovers in detail. This enables us to adjust buffets and menus with precision, creating offerings that are refined, resource-conscious, and aligned with a more sustainable future.

    The progress continues: since establishing a new baseline in February 2025, a further 6% reduction per guest has already been achieved, equal to 400 kilograms of food and 2.5 tons of CO₂ saved.

    This initiative reflects Sofitel’s global commitment to sustainability. More than 80% of Sofitel hotels now actively measure and reduce food waste, achieving over 10% reductions across the brand in 2024.

At Sofitel Frankfurt Opera, we take pride in supporting our local community. We partner with Die Arche, a local children’s foundation, to provide year-round support. Our team actively participates in regional job fairs to promote career opportunities in hospitality. Each December, we prepare and deliver Christmas gifts to families in need.
