Named for Goethe’s lover Lili Schönemann, our signature restaurant invites with its plump sofas, dazzling artworks and huge windows overlooking iconic Opernplatz. From schnitzel to coq au vin, the menu is rooted in local tradition but takes inspiration from classic French bistro fare.

Miguel Wagner, Executive Chef

Born and bred in the Hessian market town of Bad Hersfeld, our executive chef Miguel Wagner believes that artisanal, locally sourced produce is the perfect basis for authentic dishes that delight the palate and soothe the soul. In our signature Schönemann restaurant, he elevates traditional Hessian cuisine with surprising twists and a dash of French flair.
