Our CSR Initiatives

  • Sustainable food / food waste

    Our kitchen is rooted in local, seasonal produce, with menus thoughtfully adapted to vegetarian and specific dietary needs, and a selection of organic and fair trade products throughout. We use only cage-free eggs, reflecting our commitment to more ethical and responsible sourcing.

    Holder of the SuperDrecksKëscht label, we approach waste with the same rigour: a connected bin monitors food waste in real time, shifting our focus from disposal to recovery and driving meaningful, measurable reduction.

  • Water and electricity management

    From flow restrictors on every tap and shower to a renewable electricity provider, our commitment to responsible operations runs throughout the property. LED lighting now covers over 75% of the building, with full transition underway, while water and energy consumption are monitored monthly to ensure continuous progress.

  • Go Green, Skip The Clean

    As part of our Go Green, Skip the Clean initiative, we invite you to simply scan the QR code in your room. By opting out of daily room cleaning, you help conserve water and mitigate our impact.

  • World Cleanup Day

    Each year, our team at Sofitel Luxembourg Le Grand Ducal proudly takes part in World Cleanup Day, joining forces for a collective clean-up action on the Kirchberg plateau.​

    The result: over 7 kg of waste collected in just a few hours.​

    A telling figure, one that highlights the impact of cigarette butts and other small everyday habits on our environment, and a reminder of how meaningful small daily actions can be in preserving it.​

    A heartfelt thank you to our team for their dedication and high spirits throughout this initiative. Together, we continue to help protect our environment and build a more sustainable future for hospitality.
