Art Gallery of NSW & Tilda Presents

Canvas & Conversation

An Archibald Prize Experience

The Art of the Evening

One of Australia's most beloved and talked-about art traditions takes centre stage for a night of conversation, creativity and dining, as the Archibald Prize and One-Hatted Tilda come together for a truly money-can't-buy experience.

An Evening Where Art Comes to Life

The night begins with a curator and artist-led Q&A featuring Wayne Tunnicliffe, Director of Collections & Exhibitions at the Art Gallery of NSW, in conversation with Camille Olsen-Ormandy, a first-time Archibald finalist whose portrait work is already captivating Sydney's art world.

Following the discussion, Art Gallery educators will guide you through a hands-on portrait workshop using oil pastels on canvas. Designed for all skill levels, it is an opportunity to explore your creativity, whether you are a seasoned painter or picking up a brush for the first time.

Throughout the evening, enjoy Archibald-inspired bites and drinks from Tilda before taking home your finished artwork as a keepsake. Complimentary tickets to the Archibald Prize exhibition are also included.

Wednesday 5 August | 6.30 pm – 8.30 pm
$129 per person | Includes canapés, free-flowing Chardonnay and Cabernet, all canvases and art materials, and complimentary tickets to the Archibald Prize exhibition.
