Another symbol of the city, the Pulgas Water Temple, a white stone building which serves as a pavilion. Initially designed to celebrate completion of the Hetch Hetchy water system which supplied drinkable water to San Francisco and surrounding areas. Its spherical shape and columns are reminiscent of the Greek architectural style.
