The epitome of luxury, and more generally of the Swiss way of life, Geneva is the world capital of beauty. The Rhône and the Arve converge here to symbolize the sublime convergence between the nobility of a great river and the modesty of a mountain spring.

Geneva is also a progressive place which loves art and a mixture of genres. The Church of the Holy Trinity is the most obvious example of this. This surprising granite sphere, the result of the imagination of the architect Ugo Brunoni, houses in its heart a church dominated by a glass roof in the colors of the rainbow. A wonderful contrast that demonstrates how faith and modernity can coexist in harmony, it has become one of the city's major tourist attractions.

Another symbol of the commitment of Geneva's people to the Christian faith, the basilica of Notre-Dame has resided in and adorned Geneva since 1857. The inside of this charming building, located on the pilgrim route of the Way of St James, is home to the statue of Our Lady of Geneva, donated by Pope Pius IX. Its Latin motto "Nuntia Pactis", literally "messenger of peace", says a lot about its place and meaning in the city.
