Nestled into the Gironde hinterland, the village will give you the chance to enjoy some time in the countryside, away from it all, punctuated by a few wine tastings. So, head for the castles that are the pride of Pian, like château Sénéjac and château de Malleret; not forgetting the legendary château Margaux, of course.
Le Pian Médoc also makes it easy to explore some of the Aquitaine region's most beautiful natural and cultural sites. The old town of Bordeaux and the capital of the Gironde region are only a few miles away. As as you walk through the Bordeaux countryside, let the spray from the ocean awaken your senses. And the great Atlantic ocean air of Lacanau and its promise of a refreshing dip is only a twenty mile journey away. Even better, head to Cap-Ferret for a romantic evening enjoying a platter of Arcachon oysters. Being in Le Pian Médoc means you'll be incredibly close to all the riches of the region. But, of course, there's nothing at all to say that you have to leave the confines of the village and its glorious countryside, represented so perfectly by the forest of Salaunes.
