Art & Design Philadelphia, United States
At the end of Benjamin Franklin Parkway, Philadelphia’s main avenue, rises the façade, like a Greek temple, of the Philadelphia Museum of Art. Richly endowed, this American museum contains masterpieces of modern and contemporary art from Europe, America and Asia. In particular, you will find the world’s most important collection of works by Marcel Duchamp here, among which are The Large Glass and the installation Étant Donnés. Thanks to the substantial bequest of Mr & Mrs Aisenberg, informed collectors, the institution also has canvases by Monet and Manet. Philly also has its school of art, the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, which regularly hosts exhibitions of contemporary art.
